$5000 Reward Travel Ticket

Participants earn a travel ticket reward once they raise more than $5,000 or more for a 2025 Susan G. Komen 3-Day Event.

This reward includes one free roundtrip coach airfare* from the major airport closest to your home to the major airport closest to the 3-Day location, plus a one-night hotel stay (Thursday night before the event for 3-Day walkers or crew, Friday night for 2-Day walkers, Saturday night for 1-Day walkers).

  • You must have at least $5,000 in the fundraising account for the 3-Day you want to use the travel ticket for by the deadline below.
    • Denver: June 19, 2025
    • New England: July 8, 2025
    • Dallas/Fort Worth: September 11, 2025
    • San Diego: October 2, 2025
  • The Travel Ticket is good for one 3-Day event. The flight reward and the hotel night can only be used for the 3-Day event you have raised $5,000 for. 
  • This offer is only good for travel within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
  • Travel will not be provided from locations less than 200 miles from the 3-Day event site.
  • The hotel room offer is only good for the Thursday night before the 3-Day event if you are a registered 3-Day walker or crew members, Friday night for 2-Day walkers, Saturday night for 1-Day walkers. It cannot be used for any other day.
  • Air travel must be coordinated through the 3-Day’s travel system, Egencia. Flights booked independently will not be reimbursed. .
  • The travel voucher is not valid for other forms of transportation (such as train or bus travel, ride shares or car mileage). Checked baggage fees, change fees or seat assignment fees are not included, and are the responsibility of the participant.
  • This offer is non-transferable and cannot be gifted to another participant or redeemed for cash.
  • Personal airline reward points cannot be used for or toward this travel voucher.
  • Participants who are eligible for multiple travel tickets (The Commitment Club Gold reward and the $5,000 fundraiser reward) and are registered for multiple 3-Day events may use each travel ticket they have earned, provided they meet the individual fundraising requirements for each travel ticket.
  • Susan G. Komen, and its partners and vendors, are not responsible for any loss, accident, damage, delay or injury to you or your traveling companions, nor for any consequential damages, that may arise out of or during your scheduled travel, whether or not resulting from an act, omission, negligence or default of any company or person engaged in organizing or supplying your travel. Komen retains full discretion in coverage of travel costs and may discontinue or alter the promotion at any time.
  • Participants must be 18+ by the date of travel OR between ages 13-17 and accompanied by a parent/guardian or designated adult chaperone who is a registered participant. The accompanying adult must either qualify independently for the $5000 Reward Travel Ticket or pay for their own travel. Youth participants must share their hotel room with their parent/guardian or designated adult chaperone.

What does the offer include?
The Travel Ticket will provide one free roundtrip coach airfare from the major airport closest to your home to the major airport closest to the 3-Day location, plus a one-night hotel stay.

  • The flight portion of the travel ticket is only valid for travel more than 200 miles from the event and is not valid for other forms of transportation (such as train or bus travel or car mileage).
  • Transportation to and from the airport, on both departure and arrival, is not included.
  • Checked baggage fees and seat assignment fees are not included.
  • This offer is only good for travel within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

How will I book travel?
Starting in 2025, all travel bookings will be made through our trusted vendor, Egencia. This easy-to-use platform allows you to choose your preferred flights with just a few clicks, offering a seamless experience similar to booking personal travel. Best of all, you won’t need to use your personal credit card, 3-Day will handle payments directly. Egencia also provides flexible options to suit your schedule and preferences. Do I have to claim this flight benefit?
No. While we are happy to offer this to our dedicated fundraisers, anyone can decline their flight benefit. Please mark that in the survey which will be sent to you via email.

Can I transfer my reward to a teammate or family member if I’m unable to participate?
No. Only the participant who has earned the reward may use the travel ticket. It is non-transferable.

Once I meet my fundraising requirement, how long will it be before I can book my air travel?
Beginning in May you’ll hear from us and from our vendor Egencia, within 10 days of reaching the fundraising minimum ($5,000 for all participation types).

What are my options for the dates of my flights?
The window for booking flights is up to 14 days before the event and depart up to 7 days post event. You can choose whichever day you would like. In order to be cost-effective and continue to return as much as we can to the cause, we cannot book flights outside of that window.

What should I do if my plans change after I’ve already received my ticket?
If your plans change, you can easily modify your flight directly through your carrier or airline. Keep in mind that you may be subject to price differences or change fees imposed by the airline. Always review the airline’s specific policies regarding changes or cancellations to understand any potential fees. To request cancellations or for additional support, please contact travel@the3day.org

My flight times were changed! What should I do?
The easiest way to keep track of your flight changes is to become a member of your airline's frequent flier account. In that account, you can add your trip and get notified of any changes to the schedule as they happen. If the airline changes are too drastic and will not work for your 3-Day event travel, please contact the 3-Day travel team at travel@the3day.org.

What if I do not participate in the 3-Day event? Can I still use my ticket?
No. If you do not attend the 3-Day or the event is cancelled, your ticket is void. The tickets are not transferrable to travel outside of a 3-Day event.

Can I choose which night I want my hotel room for?
No. For 3-Day Walkers and crew members, this must be a Thursday night hotel room. For 2-Day Walkers, this must be a Friday night hotel room. For 1-Day Walkers, this must be a Saturday night hotel room.

Does it matter which room type I select?
No. You may select from any room types available in the host hotel room options.

May I invite other people to share my hotel room with me?
Yes. Your Thursday night hotel room reservation is your own, and you may share the room with others if you wish.

I am bringing a personal vehicle and the hotel information outlines parking fees. Do I have to pay for those?
Yes. Your Travel Ticket does not include parking fees for personal vehicles.

If I share a room with another person who earned the reward, can we have two nights paid?
No. Only one night hotel room will be covered. For 3-Day walkers and crew members, this must be a Thursday night hotel room. For 2-Day walkers, this must be a Friday night hotel room. For 1-Day walkers, this must be a Saturday night hotel room.

Can I transfer my room to a teammate if I am unable to participate?
No. Only the participant who has earned the reward may use the hotel stay.
