Fundraising for more than one 3-Day

How do I become a member of the Commitment Club?
There are two ways to qualify for the Commitment Club Silver:

  1. Participate for two or more years since 2003 and have raised a minimum of $5,000 lifetime, and be registered for the current 3-Day season.
  2. Participate as a crew member for four or more years since 2003, and be registered for the current 3-Day season.

Participants join the Commitment Club Gold once they raise $20,000 total over their 3-Day participation history, and register for the current 3-Day season.

Participants join the Commitment Club Platinum once they raise $50,000 total over their 3-Day participation history, and register for the current 3-Day season.

What are the benefits of being in the Commitment Club?

What is the Lifetime Commitment Circle?
Recognizing individual participants and teams who have shown leadership in fundraising and team development. Each inductee has raised at least $100,000 individually, or at least $1,000,000 as a team*.

*Totals will be calculated at the completion of each 3-Day event season. Individuals and teams that reach this milestone will be inducted into the Lifetime Commitment Circle the following season.

Lifetime Commitment Circle members who have raised at least $100,000 individually and teams that have raised $1,000,000 will receive recognition on the 3-Day website here

Other perks of being in the Lifetime Commitment Circle include:

  • Invitation to any Lifetime Commitment Circle events
  • Custom Lifetime Commitment Circle welcome gift

Lifetime Commitment Circle members who have raised at least $100,000 individually and are registered for the current 3-Day season will receive a limited-edition travel bag.

How can I earn fundraising rewards in 2024?
Raised $2,500 for a 2024 3-Day and you'll earn a 3-Day hat. Raise $3,500 for a 2024 3-Day and you'll earn a limited edition 3-Day cotton canvas boat tote. See deadlines and details here.

Raise $5,000 for one 2024 3-Day event (see important details and deadlines here) and you’ll earn a round-trip plane ticket to that event, plus a free one-night night hotel room (Thursday night for 3-Day walkers and crew, Friday night for 2-Day walkers, Saturday night for 1-Day walkers). You can earn this reward for each 3-Day event you raise $5,000 for. The $5,000 must be in the fundraising account dedicated to that 3-Day event. You cannot raise $5,000 for one 3-Day and use the plane ticket for a different event.

Raise $10,000 for the 2024 3-Day season and you’ll win VIP parking and VIP breakfast at all of your 3-Day events, plus a limited edition 3-Day quarter-zip pullover. That $10,000 may be spread over more than one 3-Day fundraising account.

How do I earn a free plane ticket?
There are two ways you can earn a round-trip plane ticket:

  • Participants who registered for the 2024 3-Day and had earned $20,000 over their lifetime participation before 12/31/23 (Commitment Club Gold) will receive one round-trip plane ticket to a 2024 3-Day event. Click here for all of the important details and deadlines. To be eligible for the plane ticket, walkers (including 2-Day and 1-Day walkers) must raise at least $2,300 and crew members must raise at least $750 by six weeks prior to the event you want to use the plane ticket for.
  • Raise $5,000 for a 2024 3-Day event (see important details and deadlines here) and you’ll earn a round-trip plane ticket to that event, plus a hotel room for one night (Thursday night before the event for 3-Day walkers and crew, Friday night for 2-Day walkers, Saturday night for 1-Day walkers).

Can I earn more than one plane ticket?
Yes. It is possible to qualify for more than one plane ticket if you meet the qualifications for more than one category. You can also earn more than one plane ticket by raising $5,000 for more than one 2024 3-Day. The $5,000 must be in the fundraising account of the 3-Day(s) you want to use the plane ticket for.

I am registered for more than one 3-Day event. How does this change how I do my fundraising?
If you are registered for more than one 3-Day event, you must collect donations in each of your 3-Day fundraising accounts. For example, if you are registered for both Denver and San Diego, you must have your minimum requirement in your Denver 3-Day fundraising account in order to check in for that event, and you must have your minimum requirement in your San Diego 3-Day fundraising account in order to check in for that event.

The $5,000 fundraising reward will be earned for each 3-Day event you have raised $5,000 for. The donations must be in that 3-Day event’s fundraising account. For example, if you raise $2,300 for the Denver 3-Day and $3,000 for the New England 3-Day, you do not qualify for the reward. But if you raise $5,000 for the Denver 3-Day and $2,300 for the New England 3-Day, you earn the reward for the Denver 3-Day.

This allows us to verify that participants meet their minimum requirement for each event they are participating in while also facilitating and encouraging additional fundraising above and beyond the minimum for reward redemption.

I am registered for more than one 3-Day event. What should I do with my Facebook fundraiser?
We recommend that you start your Facebook fundraiser from the Participant Center of the first 3-Day you want to fundraise for. Then, as soon as you reach your goal in that city, end that fundraiser and start a Facebook fundraiser from the Participant Center of the next 3-Day you want to fundraise for. Any donations collected will automatically go into the fundraising account you are currently raising money for, and it will appear seamless to your donors. As with all Facebook fundraisers, we recommend that you invite your Facebook friends to it, update it, share it and post about it often in order to maximize your fundraising power.

Why do I have to fundraise in each of my 3-Day fundraising accounts?
Due to the way we need to process donations in order to give the $5,000 fundraising reward, we need to have multi-event participants collect donations in each of their 3-Day fundraising accounts.

Can I move donations between my 3-Day fundraising accounts?
Yes. To make a request, submit this form and a 3-Day staff member will respond within 5 business days. Please note the deadlines here. These deadlines are in place to ensure that your donations are moved before the roommate selection step of online check-in closes.

Can I move a matching gift from one 3-Day fundraising account to another?
No. Because of the way matching gifts are processed, we are unable to move a matching gift, or the donation that initiated the match, from one 3-Day fundraising account to another.

Can I move a specific amount of money between my 3-Day fundraising accounts?
Only whole donations may be moved; we cannot move portions of donations. For example, if you have three $100 donations, you can move $100, $200 or $300. You cannot move $150.

Can I move donations from my fundraising account to another participant's 3-Day fundraising account?
No. Donations are non-transferable between participants.
