All-Crew Kick-Off

Thursday, November 18

The All-Crew Kick-Off is your chance to reunite with crew friends from past events and meet the newest members of our crew community.   The All-Crew Kick-Off consists of a crew team meeting where you will get to know the other members or your team, receive your crew T-shirts and learn about your team’s specific responsibilities.

Your arrival time and meeting location will be determined by your Crew Captain. Please confirm these important details with your Crew Captain.

Select crew teams will need to arrive earlier on Thursday to begin their crew responsibilities or help with Crew Late Check-In. Crew members who did not complete Online Check-In and those who need to re-print their credentials must come to Crew Late Check-In on Thursday between 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. to complete the check-in process. Crew assigned as event drivers will also need to come to Crew Late Check-In between 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. to complete driver’s training.

Please contact your Crew Captain to confirm your scheduled arrival time and location before finalizing your travel plans. There will be no shuttles on Thursday between the All-Crew Kick-Off site and the host hotel. If you need a ride, please contact your fellow crew members or use rideshare options like Lyft or Uber or take a taxi.

Host Hotels and Shuttles

The 3-Day has a group room block at local hotels for 3-Day participants, which will include shuttle transportation from the hotel to the 3-Day event. All hotel reservations must be booked by October 17 through the link below.

HOST HOTEL RESERVATION PORTAL

Commitment Club Gold Travel Ticket Recipients: Please note that a hotel stay is no longer part of the Commitment Club Gold (formerly known as SuperFundraiser) travel ticket reward. You will be responsible for any charges related to any hotel reservation you make. If you raise $5,000+ this year for the San Diego 3-Day, you’ll get a special travel reward that includes a Thursday night hotel stay along with your round-trip airfare.

If you have difficulty making a reservation through the link above, please email 3daytravel@event360.com. All other 3-Day questions should be directed to a 3-Day coach.

Shuttle to Host Hotels

  • Thursday night hotel reservations include shuttle service to the Opening Ceremony on Friday morning.
  • Friday and Saturday night hotel reservations include shuttle service to and from camp Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Sunday night hotel reservations include shuttle service from the Closing Ceremony to the hotel on Sunday evening.

An important note about shuttle service: If you stay at another hotel or your room is not booked through the link above, you will not receive shuttle service. Personal vehicles are not allowed at any 3-Day site.

Shuttle Tickets
Shuttle wristbands and a shuttle schedule will be in your hotel check-in packet, if you booked a hotel through the 3-Day reservation website. There will be no Sunday Shuttle Ticket Tent this year to eliminate lines and face-to-face transactions.

A limited number of wristbands (first come, first served) can be purchased for weekend shuttle access at the host hotels (excluding the Del Mar Hilton) on Thursday from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Wristbands can also be purchased Friday/Saturday at the shuttle stop located at camp during shuttle hours. Shuttle hours are 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Wristband costs:

  • Friday Morning only - $20
  • Sunday after Closing Ceremony only - $20
  • All Event Pass (Friday morning, Saturday camp, Sunday Closing) - $55

Shuttle Policies:

  • Host Hotel shuttles are for WALKERS AND CREW ONLY. Shuttles will not transfer friends/family not participating in the 3-Day event to and from event sites.
  • Participants will be responsible for loading/unloading all luggage/gear and personal belongings. Shuttle buses cannot accommodate bicycles.
  • ALL participants on Host Hotel shuttles MUST wear masks at all times while on the shuttle bus.

20-Mile Walkers
If you choose to spend the night with us at camp, please plan to arrive at Crown Point Shores between 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and check in outside the Command Center, so that you have ample time to set up your tent and enjoy camp festivities.

If you are not staying overnight with us at camp, please check in outside the Command Center at camp at Crown Point Shores between 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. on Sunday. Breakfast will be served at camp Sunday morning between 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. The route will open at 7:15 a.m. and all walkers must be on the route by 8:00 a.m. There is no parking available at the 3-Day camp.

If you are staying at a host hotel under the 3-Day rate, you can take the 3-Day shuttle to camp in the morning and back to the hotel on Sunday after the Closing Ceremony. If you are not staying at a 3-Day host hotel, plan to get dropped off at camp at Crown Point Shores and picked up at the Finish Line Festival at Waterfront Park.

Finish Line Festival & Closing Ceremony
The Finish Line Festival will open to participants and spectators at 12:00 p.m., when we will begin to welcome home the walkers and crew from their 3-Day weekend. Unlike past years, the Closing Ceremony will begin immediately after the last walker arrives at the Finish Line Festival. This could be as early as 3:30 p.m. or as late as 4:30 p.m. If you would like to see the Closing Ceremony, please ensure that you are there by 3:00 p.m.

We encourage spectators, friends and family to bring your pop-ups, shade tents, chairs and coolers to cheer the walkers in off the route. However, NO alcohol is allowed on county park grounds. We will have a designated area for pop-ups that is very close to the walk-in arch for the festival. In order to allow everyone to see the ceremony, please do not set up pop-up tents near the stage or viewing area.

All attendees must wear a face covering and follow all event guidelines around COVID safety. Both participants and spectators will be directed to specific areas to stand and must remain in their "pod" for the duration of the ceremony.
