Thursday, August 22
Crew members: Your Susan G. Komen 3-Day journey will begin with your crew team meeting on Thursday afternoon, where you will get to know the other members of your team, receive your crew t-shirts and swag and learn about your team’s specific responsibilities.
Your arrival time and meeting location will be determined by your Crew Captain, so please confirm these important details with them.
Other Crew training events that will happen on Thursday:

Host Hotel
The Komen 3-Day has a group room block at the Marriott Copley Place for 3-Day participants. For 3-Day Walkers and crew, your Friday and Saturday night hotel room is provided as part of your participation, but Thursday and Sunday night hotel reservations are optional and at your own cost.
If you wish to make a reservation for Thursday and/or Sunday night, please book by July 14 through the link below. This host hotel reservation portal manages Thursday and Sunday night reservations only.

If you have difficulty making a reservation through the link above, please email 3dayhotels@altour.com. All other 3-Day questions should be directed to your 3-Day coach.
When you check in to the hotel, you will need to provide a credit or debit card for incidentals. A hold for $80/day (max $400 total) will be placed on your card (if it is a debit card, the $80/day will be removed from your account). If you do not charge incidentals to your room, the $80/day charge or hold will be refunded 7-10 days after you check out.
3-Day Walkers and Crew: You must complete online check-in in your Participant Center by July 10 in order to secure your Friday and Saturday night hotel room and select your roommate(s) for those nights. People who are not registered participants may not stay in the 3-Day room block at the host hotel on Friday and Saturday night.
2-Day Walkers: You must complete online check-in in your Participant Center by July 10 in order to secure your Saturday night hotel room and select your roommate(s) for those nights. If you wish to make a reservation for Friday night at your own expense, you may make a reservation through our travel agent’s portal.
1-Day Walkers: If you wish to make a reservation for Sunday night, you may do that through our travel agent’s portal. Thursday, Friday and Saturday night hotel rooms are not available for 1-Day Walkers, due to limited availability.
Coming from the Airport:
The Marriott Copley Place does not provide shuttle service. Estimated taxi fare: $40 one-way. Bus service $5 one-way. Subway service $2.50 one-way. Visit airport website for more information - https://www.massport.com/logan-airport/to-from-logan/transportation-options/.
The Sumner Tunnel will be closed this summer; please plan airport transportation accordingly.
Shuttles
You may purchase a ticket for a shuttle bus from the UMass Boston Campus Center Lawn to the Marriott Copley Place after the Closing Ceremony on Sunday. Making a Sunday night host hotel reservations does not include shuttle service. Shuttle tickets will cost $20 and can be purchased at the hotel on Thursday or Friday from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. or on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

6:00 a.m. Walkers should arrive. (Crew members: check with your captain for your arrival time.)
7:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony begins
3-Day Walkers who do not have an official event credential will need to come to the late check-in help desk on Friday morning before the Opening Ceremony, where you will receive a temporary credential. If you have not completed online check-in, you must complete it on your mobile device during the day, either before or as soon as you come back to camp in the afternoon/evening. Once back at camp, come to the 3-Day Command Center and we will confirm that you have completed online check-in and give you your official event credential so you may access camp services, including dinner, and be allowed on the route for the remainder of the event.

1-Day Walkers
On Saturday night at the 3-Day, we hold a special ceremony to honor and celebrate the people who we are walking for. We invite you to attend this moving, inspiring ceremony — you won’t want to miss it. It’s a wonderful way to start your 3-Day journey and will give you a chance to be with the rest of the 3-Day community.
The Honor Ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m. If you’d like to attend this ceremony, please come to the Boston Marriott Copley Place between 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, and visit the 1-Day Walker table to check in. Dinner is served between 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
If you didn’t check in on Saturday, arrive at the Boston Marriott Copley Place on Sunday morning, August 25, between 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. At check-in, you’ll receive your 3-Day credential, lanyard and legacy pin. Breakfast will be served between 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. The route will open at 8:15 a.m. and all walkers must be on the route by 8:30 a.m.
2-Day Walkers
You will need to check in at the Boston Marriott Copley Place to receive your 3-Day credential, lanyard and legacy pin. You can check in between 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday or on Saturday morning between 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served between 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. The route will open at 8:15 a.m. and all walkers must be on the route by 8:30 a.m.
Finish Line Festival & Closing Ceremony
The Finish Line Festival will open to participants and spectators at 12:00 p.m., when we will begin to welcome home the walkers and crew from their 3-Day weekend. The Closing Ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m.. If you would like to see the Closing Ceremony, please ensure that you are there between 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
We encourage spectators, friends and family to join you at the festival to celebrate.
