Hotel Assignment / Roommate Selection is now closed.
3-Day Walkers and Crew
If you complete the Waiver and Fundraising steps of online check-in by October 27, you will be able to print your credential after October 28.
If you did not complete the Roommate Selection step by September 25, come to the 3-Day Travel desk in the host hotel lobby on Thursday evening or Friday morning and we will make every effort to secure a hotel room for you, but we cannot guarantee it, as it will depend on the number of participants who confirmed their room prior to the deadline and the availability of rooms.
If you do not bring your credential to the event, you will need to come to the late check-in help desk on Friday morning, November 1, where you will receive a temporary credential. If you have not yet completed online check-in, you must complete it on your mobile device during the day, either before or as soon as you come back to camp in the afternoon/evening. Once back at camp, come to the 3-Day Command Center and we will confirm that you have completed online check-in and give you your official event credential.
2-Day and 1-Day Walkers
Please complete online check-in before you arrive at the event. You will receive your credential when you check in in-person upon arrival.

1. Can I check in if I have not met my fundraising minimum?
3-Day Walkers, 2-Day Walkers, Crew: You must complete your fundraising requirement by September 25 in order to select your roommate and receive a hotel assignment.
3-Day Walkers and 2-Day Walkers may choose to make a delayed donation to complete their fundraising requirement. Your credit card will be charged a $2 donation at the time you make the delayed donation, and will only be charged for the remainder of what you owe if you participate in the 3-Day, and only for the difference between your fundraising total (as of the Monday after the 3-Day) and your fundraising requirement.
If you do not ultimately participate in the event, you are not held responsible for your fundraising requirement.
1-Day Walkers: You should complete online check-in and your fundraising requirement before you arrive at the 3-Day.
2. Can I complete online check-in if I have significant medical history?
Yes. However, if you have significant medical history, we strongly suggest that you discuss your participation in the 3-Day with your primary health care provider and get their approval. You are not required to provide us with a note from your doctor, but we do recommend that you get their approval.
3. For 3-Day or 2-Day Walkers: If I input my credit card for a delayed donation during the online check-in process, but don’t participate in the 3-Day, will I be charged?
Your credit card will be charged a $2 donation at the time you make the delayed donation, but after that you will only be charged for the remainder of what you owe if you participate in the 3-Day, and only for the difference between your fundraising total (as of the Monday after the 3-Day) and your fundraising requirement. If you don’t participate, you won’t be charged anything beyond that original $2.
4. How do I get my official event credential?
3-Day Walkers: If you complete the online check-in process, including your fundraising, by October 28, you will be able to print your credential at home before the event. The link to print your credential will appear in your Participant Center on the Monday afternoon before your 3-Day event. You will be notified by email once your credential is ready for printing. We will provide you with a plastic pouch and lanyard to hold your credential when you arrive at the Opening Ceremony.
If you do not bring your credential with you to the event, you will need to come to the Late Check-In Help Desk before the Opening Ceremony where you will receive a temporary credential. When you come back into camp on Friday, you will need to come to the Command Center to receive your official event credential so you can take advantage of all camp services, including meals, and to get out on the route for the rest of the weekend.

We will provide you with a plastic pouch and lanyard to hold your credential when you meet up with your Crew Captain.
If you do not bring your credential with you to the event, you will need to come to the Command Center on Thursday to receive your official event credential so you can take advantage of all camp services, including meals, and to get out on the route for the rest of the weekend.
2-Day Walkers: You will receive your credential when you arrive at the event. Please complete check-in online before you arrive in order to make the in-person check-in process go as quickly and smoothly as possible. You will have the choice of checking in on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
1-Day Walkers: You will receive your credential when you arrive at the event. Please complete check-in online before you arrive in order to make the in-person check-in process go as quickly and smoothly as possible. You will have the choice of checking in on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.
5. Can I get a hotel room next to my team members?
We cannot accommodate requests for adjoining or nearby rooms.
6. If I’m registered as a 1-Day Walker will I get a hotel room?
No. 1-Day Walkers will not be assigned a hotel room. If you would like to make a reservation at the 3-Day host hotel for Sunday night at your own expense, visit our travel agent’s reservation portal at https://cvent.me/x1zrPm. You may not book a Friday or Saturday night hotel room in the 3-Day’s reservation block, due to limited capacity.
7. How do I reserve my Friday and Saturday night hotel room and choose my roommates?
3-Day Walkers and Crew: Click the Friday/Saturday Night Roommate Selection icon in your Participant Center. Both you and your roommate(s) must have met your fundraising requirement (or made a delayed donation) to secure a room. 1-Day Walkers and people who are not registered 3-Day participants may not stay in a Friday or Saturday night host hotel room.
2-Day Walkers: Only a Saturday night hotel room will be provided by the 3-Day. Click the Friday/Saturday Night Roommate Selection icon in your Participant Center to choose your Saturday night roommate(s). Both you and your roommate(s) must have met your fundraising requirement to secure a room. If you are rooming with another 2-Day Walker, you may have between 2-4 participants total in your room. If you are rooming with a 3-Day Walker or crew member, there must be at least 3 participants total in your room. A room cannot have only one 2-Day Walker and one 3-Day Walker/Crew in it. 1-Day Walkers and people who are not registered 3-Day participants may not stay in a Friday or Saturday night host hotel room.
8. How do I reserve my Thursday and Sunday night hotel room and choose my roommates?
Click the Thursday/Sunday night Hotel Booking icon in your Participant Center to go to our travel agent’s reservation portal at https://cvent.me/x1zrPm. This host hotel reservation portal is for Thursday and Sunday nights only and works like a traditional hotel reservation system in that you are responsible for the cost of your room, taxes and fees, and may invite any roommates you choose.
If you choose to be assigned a random roommate as your Friday/Saturday night roommate, you may be required to switch rooms after Thursday night or before Sunday night.
9. The participant I want to room with is not appearing in the search results in the Roommate Selection step of online check-in.
If you know the participant you’re looking for should appear in the search results based on all of the above criteria, try entering just a few letters in the Last Name or First Name field to get more results. If that still doesn’t work, contact your coach at dfwcoaches@the3day.org.
Do NOT choose to be assigned a random roommate if you will need to change your choice later. If your roommate isn’t ready for pairing or you’re waiting for your team to choose roommates, come back to the Roommate Selection step when you are ready to select your roommate.
10. How do I know if my Friday/Saturday night hotel room is reserved?
On your Participant Center home page, in the Online Check-in section, if your Roommate Status is “Assigned,” then you have a confirmed hotel reservation for Friday and Saturday night. The hotel will not send you a confirmation email. If you contact the hotel, they will not have a record of your reservation associated with your name. Participant rooms for Friday and Saturday night are reserved and managed by the 3-Day in our room block.
If you make a Thursday and/or Sunday night reservation through our travel agent’s portal at https://cvent.me/x1zrPm, the hotel may send you a confirmation email. This confirms your reservation for Thursday and/or Sunday night ONLY and is not related to your Friday/Saturday night hotel stay that is part of your 3-Day participation.
11. What happens if I choose to be assigned a random roommate?
We will pair you with someone of the same gender who has also selected to be assigned a random roommate. You will be assigned to a room with two beds. Because your roommate pairing could change, you will not find out your roommate’s name until you check in to the hotel.
Do NOT choose to be assigned a random roommate just because you don’t see your desired roommate in the search and you plan to change your choice later. If your roommate isn’t ready for pairing or you’re waiting for your team to choose roommates, come back to the Roommate Selection step when you are ready to select your roommate.
