Last year I began an amazing journey. My destination? Finding a cure for breast cancer. My donors were in my thoughts every step of my life-changing 60 mile adventure, and the experience was so extraordinary that I am determined to do it again! This year I will be walking in the Susan G. Komen [event city] 3-Day, [event date], joining thousands of men and women committed to this battle against a despicable enemy breast cancer.
You have been there for me with your donations and support, and I am asking you to donate again because the battle continues. Every minute, somewhere in the world, someone dies from breast cancer a sobering statistic and one that I believe we can reduce.
I am sure each and every one of you knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer. The best way we can make a difference is to raise awareness the thousands of Komen 3-Day walkers nationwide bring attention to this cause - and to provide the monetary support necessary for research, education and treatment.
