August 21 I will step out and begin my seventh Susan G Komen 3-Day®. Texans for Ta-tas are heading to San Diego this year. It is hard to believe that I started this journey in 2009. In all actuality though, the journey started in 1992 with my diagnosis. Back then I had no idea where being a survivor would lead me. I don't think I ever looked or thought passed the initial shock, subsequent surgeries and treatments. Becoming an advocate for finding a cure was not really on my radar. Fast forward 23 years and here I am!
I could not be here if it was not for each of you, my generous donors and supporters. Each of you is a member of my team as much as those that are physically walking with me.
