Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge! I will be volunteering at the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk in San Diego to end breast cancer. As a breast cancer survivor, I will also walk 20 miles on November 16 with friends and hundreds of others to raise funds for the cause. It will be hard, but believe me, it's not as hard as breast cancer. It's not as hard as chemo. It's not as hard as saying goodbye. And that's why I want to do this. That's why I'm walking and why I'm raising money - to end breast cancer forever.
I had a difficult battle with breast cancer while pregnant with Kayla in 2005. Cancer is a terrible and frightful experience that nobody should endure. If I can walk 20 miles in one day to support this non-profit organization whose mission is to end breast cancer, then I'll be there with band-aids and enthusiasm!
I've been cancer free for 20 years and yes, Kayla will be 20 years old in October! Please support me by clicking on the DONATE NOW link on the top right of this page to make a donation to this worthy cause by Sept 30.
With appreciation and love ~ Shel :)
