2025 San Diego 3-Day

Mariposas Maravillosas

Hello family, friends, and strangers,

My name is Allie! My mom is a 12 year breast cancer survivor. I had previously done the 3-day walk with her back in 2010 when they had it in San Francisco. It was the toughest walk we had ever done, but it bonded us through the experience and the dedication to helping end breast cancer.

Recently, in October 2024, we lost my great aunt to breast cancer. She had been in remission for years and it had come back and, unfortunately, spread. Doctors told her she would've had to get chemo for the rest of her life, but couldn't guarantee it would ever go into remission again. My aunt made the difficult decision to stop treat.

My mother and I want to dedicate our walk to my great aunt and continue her memory in the hopes of finding a cure for breast cancer. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women. We want to help reduce that, so eventually there will be a day there is no more breast cancer. We greatly appreciate it and thank you for joining us in ending breast cancer!

Please join us as we come together as a team and with the Susan G. Komen 3-Day community take on a bold challenge in the fight to end breast cancer. The Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. We won’t stop until breast cancer does.
