My mom reminds me that “research for one cancer is research for all cancer.” We NEED a world without cancer. I started as a volunteer crew member for camp services with my mom and some close friends. However, I knew I wanted to walk and now I can’t be stopped. I’m ready to walk the 60 miles again for a 6th time. “It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I commit. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.”
