You will hear from an early career scientist, Dr. Susan Thomas, as she showcases how Komen funds have aided our understanding of cancer treatment and the quickly developing field of nanomedicine in cancer immunotherapy.

- Dr. Susan Thomas, Ph.D., is an early career scientist at Georgia Tech University that was recently awarded a CCR award to study breast cancer immunotherapy via targeting cancer cells in the lymph node. She is using her training as an engineer to develop novel treatments and materials to support the natural defenses in the body via lymph nodes to treat metastatic disease.
The webinar will be 30 minutes long and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Invite your friends, family and donors to participate and learn more about how the money you raise helps support Komen’s research.
