I was diagnosed in the spring of 2022 with triple negative breast cancer. It has a high rate of recurrence. As of September 28, 2022, I was declared officially free from any sign of disease! This year I had a scare which thankfully was benign. I have struggled each year to move beyond my diagnosis with a joy of living. I'm ready for there to be a cure so I no longer have worry at the back of my mind.

I know that Komen funds research and services which have saved my life. I have raised nearly $87,000 in my lifetime for this cause. I know that advances in breast cancer research could lead to a cure for other cancers. Get your annual mammogram, do your monthly self checks, get your colonoscopy, get your annual physical, know your body. Join me in the fight. Everyone deserves a lifetime!
