This will be my 5th Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk for breast cancer. When I joined team Hands Up For Hooters in 2017 I did not imagine that I would hear the words..."You have an aggressive form of breast cancer".Detected by a routine mammogram at the height of Covid in 2020. After 2 lumpectomies, 30 radiation treatments & 5 years of medication I am cancer free! Lucky me! More & more people are getting positive results from new diagnostic tools & treatments. As I commit to this 60 mile walk over the course of 3 days in beautiful San Diego I will be grateful for your support. It will be hard, but it's not as hard as breast cancer. It's not as hard as chemo. It's not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It's not as hard as saying goodbye. And that's why I know I have to do this. That's why I'm walking and why I'm raising money - to end breast cancer forever. Thank you!
