In February 2027, I will lace up my shoes and walk 60 miles over 3 days. Not just for the miles, but for the love, the memories, and the legacy of my beautiful mom, Maria (pictured above, on the right).

My mom passed away in October 2024 after facing breast cancer with unshakable courage. Just as her own mother had before her. Years ago, she walked the Susan G. Komen 3-Day in honor of her mom, each step a promise of hope and determination. I remember the pride in her voice when she talked about it.

Now, it's my turn to carry that promise forward. I walk in her name, for the strength she showed, and for the women and families still fighting today.

This cause was more than important to her, it was part of who she was. And now, it's part of me. Your donation will fund life-saving research, provide vital patient care, and bring us closer to the day when breast cancer takes no more mothers, daughters, sisters, or friends.
