I just returned home from my first Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk.  At the San Diego walk I served as crew member.  My main duty was to provide support to thousands of walkers participating in this event, which involves walking 60 miles over three days to raise funds for breast cancer research and support. I am so excited to share that I have now registered to walk in my first walk. I will be walking the final day at the Tampa Bay 3-Day walk, and crewing the first two days. My initial motivation for participating was to support my cousin Julie, who will be walking in her first event this last weekend in San Diego, as well as my cousin Jenny and aunt Janice, both of whom are breast cancer survivors. Although after existencing all the "pink bubble" community has to give, and listen to the story told reminds me why this journey is so important.  I can not wait to experience ananother 3-Day Walk, and this time as a walker!
