Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days.
I walk - Because I must.
The Susan G. Komen 3-Day has been a part of my life for years- first as Youth Corps (twice!), then as a one day walker in Cleveland and Denver, and now as a proud 3-Day walker for the second year in a row.
This year I intend on taking on not one, but two 3-Day events: Sandiego and Tampa Bay. That's 120 miles of early mornings, sore feet, and pushing past limits... but it's nothing compared to what too many people face every single day.
60 miles is HARD.
But it's not as hard as breast cancer.
It's not as hard as chemo.
It's not as hard as losing a friend, a sister, a mother, a daughter.
I walk for my dear friend Meagan, who lost her battle far too soon. Her laugh, her strength, and her heart walk every single mile with me.
I walk for my grandma, who bravely fought- and survived.
I walk for everyone who can't. For every family hurting. Everyone fighting. Everyone hoping for a future free of breast cancer.
Every step, every mile, and every blister is a promise: I won't stop until we get to that future.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting this fight, and helping save lives.
