This year marks my 14th Susan G. Komen 3-Day.

I walk for every person whose life has been changed by breast cancer, and I walk to honor the memories of those we’ve lost. I especially walk for my Bonus Mom, Maureen Miller, who lost her courageous fight in August 2023.

The 3-Day is a powerful and emotional journey—60 miles over the course of three days. It’s challenging, but it will never compare to the challenges of breast cancer. It’s not as hard as enduring chemo. It’s not as hard as waiting for scan results. It’s not as hard as receiving devastating news. And it’s certainly not as hard as saying goodbye to someone you love.

I’m walking because I believe in a world without breast cancer.
