I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in December, 2011. I had 2 surgeries in 2012 and did my first Komen 3 Day in 2013. It quickly became an event and cause important to me because it was my way of paying it forward. I was diagnosed with a reoccurrence in 2025. I have spent almost the entire year in treatment. I walked all 60 miles in Boston this year 2 days after finishing 6 weeks of radiation. I am again grateful for the care given by doctors and nurses. I am especially grateful for advances in fighting this disease and can attribute a lot of those advances to Susan G. Komen.
