Walking everywhere together is our thing. Long talks, big laughs, deep thoughts-our best moments are always on the move. She taught me that walking wasn't just exercise; it was a way to clear your head, take on the world, and, most importantly, spend time with the people you love.

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile challenge. It will be tough, but not as tough as what my mom has faced. Not as tough as what so many women and families go through every single day.
