I have decided to walk once again for the Susan G. Komen 3 Day 60 mile walk. This will be my 5th walk.
It has been an amazing experience as a SURVIVOR to participate in this event.
Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2020 right during COVID. My tumor needed shrinking before they could perform surgery, My surgery was on August 19 2021 (14 months after being diagnoised with cancer). I had 20 sessions of radiation and rang the bell on October 29, 2021.
Training for the event is hard but it's not as hard as breast cancer. It?s not as hard as chemo. It?s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It?s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that?s why I know I have to do this. That?s why I?m walking and why I?m raising money ? to end breast cancer forever.
The walk in 2026 will be August 21-24 and I have signed up to do Boston again.
Last year I raised over $9600.00 thanks to family, friends and coworkers. That is a big number to achieve but I am up for the challenge to do even better for 2026. In the 4 years that I have participated in the walk I have raised over $30,000.00. I am so humbled by this.
Any little bit helps so please consider donating so I reach my goal. It makes every step I take, every sore muscle, every ache and pain worth it!
