It started with an abnormal mammogram last winter. Humph. I'm sure it's nothing I said to myself. But a subsequent mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy, and MRI told me something different. I had breast cancer. Two surgeries later (March and April) followed by radiation in June and I am happy to report I am now cancer-free. I had incredible doctors, an amazing community of friends and family, and channeled lots of positivity to buoy me through this journey.
To pay it forward now, I want to do what I can to support breast cancer research and ultimately end breast cancer forever. So if you are able and inclined, please consider supporting me as I commit to a new challenge: The Susan G. Komen 3-Day (a 60-mile walk over the course of three days). Thank you! - Aya
