For the 16th time, I am committing to an incredible challenge: the Susan G. Komen 3-Day, a 60-mile walk to end breast cancer.
I walk for my daughters and granddaughters. I walk in memory and in honor of the wonderful women listed below. And I walk because I can, for all those who can't.
The walk itself is difficult, but I'm reminded every year that it is not as hard as the battle our loved ones face. It is not as hard as chemo. It is not as hard as waiting for scan results. It is not as hard as hearing the words, "You have cancer."
That is why I know I have to do this. That is why I walk, and that's why I am asking for your support—to help me raise money to end this disease FOREVER.
Please support my 15th walk.
I walk in memory of:
Emily Knode, Jennifer Tauriac, Ruth Bush, Noemi Woodward, Kathy Porturica, Linda G. Gray, Linda Peterson, Tina Duffey, Valerie Page, Judi Taylor, Elnora Branom, Rosalie Honesty, Sandra Lee Boggs (Carson), Rosa Maria Flores, Gabriella Kurtz, Lydia Valle, Andrea Jones, Barbara Cohen, Shelley Barnes, Nancy Coffield, Josephine Ferris, Libby Magnone, Phyllis Carroll, Nancy Schmitz, Lucia Caracost, and Kristen Leary.
and in honor of:
