Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days.
In August, 2025 I participated in the walk in Boston. At the end of the first day I wrote this: “My hardest walk ever. I went into this day feeling overwhelmed because I didn’t feel strong, like in the past. I didn’t get all my training miles in and have been fatigued. My heart was ready for the day but doubts prevailed.
My mentality of one mile at a time really helped except towards the very end. I was thinking about a sweep van ride back to camp, but I was just so close to the first day finish line. I had 18 miles under my belt, but needed just 2 more miles. I needed to finish all 20. I wanted to say, I did this despite being in treatment for breast cancer. I don’t know if I will bounce back enough to do all 60 miles, but I will try.”
I managed to do all three days and continued my streak of completing the entire event. It is my prayer and hope to do so again in 2026.
Your support in the effort to end breast cancer is importance and significance.
Kind regards!
