In November 2025, I completed my very first Susan G. Komen 3-Day in San Diego — 60 miles, three days, thousands of steps, countless emotions. It was the biggest physical and emotional challenge I’ve ever taken on… and it changed me.
I expected the miles to be hard.
I didn’t expect to fall completely in love.
I fell in love with the community, the mission, the courage of the survivors walking beside me, and the powerful pink-bubble energy that surrounds this event. When I crossed that finish line, one thing was crystal clear:
I’m not done.
That’s why I’ve signed up for my next 3-Day — this time not as a walker, but as a crew member in Boston in August 2026. Crew are the behind-the-scenes heroes who support walkers every step of the way: setting up camp, cheering, feeding, hydrating, encouraging, lifting spirits, and helping keep the event safe and magical.
After walking my first 60 miles, I know firsthand how much the crew matters.
Now I get to be the one who gives that same encouragement back.
And I’m not stopping there.
In November 2026, I’ll be back in San Diego — walking one day with the 3-Day community that started it all. Then in February 2027, I’ll walk the full 60 miles again in Tampa, Florida. The Spark that was lit in 2025 is turning into something much bigger: a long-term commitment to this cause, this community, and this hope-filled mission.
I walk — and now I crew — for the many survivors I know.
For the names people have shared with me.
For the fighters.
For the lives lost.
For the hope of a future where breast cancer is no longer a threat.
If you supported my San Diego walk, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you haven’t had the chance yet — or want to keep this momentum going — I’m raising $750 to support my Boston crew role and continue funding breakthrough research and vital patient support.
The need is still urgent.
The mission is still critical.
And together… we’re not stopping.
Let’s end breast cancer — step by step, mile by mile, and spark by spark.
