Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
The day after Christmas in 2018 I answered my phone in a hospital waiting room thinking it was Steve’s doctor telling me that his hip surgery went well and I could go back, BUT it was the radiologist with my biopsy results. This was not my first breast biopsy, so I fully expected negative results again-BOY WAS I WRONG, this time IT WAS BREAST CANCER.
I am one of the “LUCKY” breast cancer survivors. Mine was found at such an early stage, my treatment was a bilateral Mastectomy in Feb 2019 and Reconstruction in June 2019 with
no Chemo or Radiation. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH – EARLY DETECTION IS THE KEY!
In September 2019 I signed up for my first Komen 3-Day and walked my first 60-mile 3-day in Nov (only 8 months after a mastectomy and 5 months after my last surgery) . Each year I raise a minimum of $2,300 so that I can participate in the Susan G Komen 3-Day Walk and I Crew at least once a year as well.
If you would like to contribute to my cause here is my link-no contribution is too small.
