This will be my 11th 3-day event since I started walking in 2019. I will be crewing this event as part of the Sweep and Shuttle crew, helping tired and injured walkers get to the next pit stop or lunch. Crewing is an important part of the 3-day event and fundraising is an integral part of all participation. My goal for this event is $5,000 and any donation helps me reach that goal.

I was diagnosed in 2018 with stage 1B invasive ductal carcinoma. After a lumpectomy and radiation, I decided that I wanted to fight breast cancer so other women and girls wouldn't have to go through the trauma I went through.

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it's not as hard as breast cancer. It's not as hard as chemo. It's not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It's not as hard as saying goodbye. And that's why I know I have to do this. That's why I'm walking and why I'm raising money - to end breast cancer forever.
