This is a different year for me. I have not walked in a few years. We signed up late last year and then just this week I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Susan G. Komen has been a part of my life for so many years. I did my first walk in 2010. Never in a million years did I thing I would be one of the people we walk for. In past years I have walked for my grandmother, who died when my dad was just 11. I have walked for girlfriends and moms of girlfriends. This year I walk for me. This is me telling cancer to go kick rocks. This is me walking with my new family of sisters fighting the battle.
