2025 New England 3-Day

Two for the TaTa's

Two for the TaTas are back in action!

Hello, and welcome to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day team page for Two for the TaTas! Our team of walkers includes Barbara and Vanessa Tabor, and we are walking in our sixth and third (respectively) 3-Day events this year in the New England 3-Day in Boston on August 15-17.

How you can help. We would greatly appreciate your support. Use the buttons and links on this page to learn more about our personal stories and to donate to an individual on our team. Any amount will help. To better understand how your donation helps patients and families, take a minute to read this infographic: https://bit.ly/4jnZqbS.

Why we walk. It’s estimated 320,000 people will receive a breast cancer diagnosis this year, and sadly, 43,000 of these individuals will likely lose their battle with breast cancer before the year is over. Team Two for the TaTas is walking for all of those who are currently battling breast cancer, for those who will receive a diagnosis, for the survivors and families, and for a future without breast cancer.

Like many families, we have been personally affected by this disease. Barb’s mom, Mary Ann survived breast cancer twice, and Barb was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2022. We are among the lucky ones whose cancer was detected and treated early, and who had access to high-quality care, insurance coverage, and support. Far too many patients do not have this same experience. Our efforts – and your support – will help those individuals and families, and will contribute to the vision of a world without breast cancer.

What is the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day? The 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days to raise money for breast cancer research, treatment, and supportive services for breast cancer patients. Since 2003, the 3-Day has raised more than $915 million for cutting-edge research that will lead to new, more effective treatments; community support across the country to ensure all people can access the care and preventive screenings they need for early detection and treatment; and advocacy to make certain the voice of the breast cancer community, patients, and families is heard by policymakers.

We hope you will consider lending your support this year. We appreciate you, and hope that you have a healthy, happy summer!
