Please support me as I embark on this journey for my 3rd walk in 2025. My previous walks in 2023 and 2024 were full of many emotions as I walked along supporters who like me have never had cancer, survivors, those currently going thru treatments and family members of those who are no longer able to walk. We walk because we must. 

My first experience with breast cancer was with my grandmother, Neva Nell. She passed from breast cancer when I was 9 years old. In 2023 I started walking in memory of a very dear friend Sharon. In 2024 we lost another friend, Sandy. Though Sandy did not have cancer, she was a big supporter in this fight. I have many great memories that involve the three of us. I will walk in Sharon and Sandy’s memory this year.  

No amount is too small and any amount will make a big difference

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
