I walk for more effective cancer treatment options for all cancers and the hope that one day we will have a cure or a preventative option.

We should not have to choose to die from cancer over the side effects of a drug that will slightly prolong our lives but make us sick at the same time. I had a family member make this hard decision. She chose to go peacefully with all of her family by her side. She did not want to live the rest of her days sick and unable to function.

I also had a family member fight till her last breath was given. She did any treatment possible. Even experimental treatments. She was able to get into a trial that did prolong her life but was not enough to cure her.

We need better options. BETTER treatment. BETTER Health Care. We just need BETTER than what is currently available.
