December 2017 I was told I had breast cancer. Scared, no insurance and not knowing what to do a program funded by Susan G. Komen helped me navigate the beginnings of my journey and saved my life. Fast forward to September 2023 and I’m being told once again I have cancer. My breast cancer spread to my bones and I am now stage 4 metastatic. Drugs I am on and have been on have been directly linked to SGK funding and grants. To say I own them is an understatement… so I walked. Now because of my health I crew and continue to try and raise as much money as possible, so no more moms need to tell their babies they have breast cancer!
