Seventeen years later…Shealie & Sarah are 18 which is unbelievable in and of itself, and Grace is 12. My three beautiful and amazing nieces. I feel so lucky to have been a part of their lives over the years. And I am so looking forward to seeing what happens next for each of them. But for every concert, dinner, or family reunion I am able to attend, there is also, always, someone else who should be there with us, celebrating too. My mom would have loved being there during every minute of all those moments in our lives cheering us all on. Cancer took that away from her and it took it away from us. That’s why each year, I continue my efforts to raise awareness and money for research to put an end to this terrible disease.
