Twenty years ago, our team "For the Girls" was formed to walk 60 Miles in 3 days to help find a cure for breast cancer.  I was celebrating my 50th birthday, my 2.5 years cancer free, and my friend Jane.  Little did I know that I would return every year to walk, crew and/or walker stalk.  This will be my 27th walk, and 39th Event.  Where did the time go? 

I've met some amazing people.  We share stories, laughter, and tears. We share life and gratitude.

In these times of turmoil, with cancer research funding being cut, I am even more determined to stay involved and support funding for research, early detection, cancer care, therapies and treatments. 

We are making a difference!  Every step matters.  Every mile matters. Every dollar raised matters. We are helping people we know and love. We are helping people we will never meet. We are helping all of us.

The 3Day gets us closer to a cure for this terrible disease. The bottom line, we have a common goal -  to end breast cancer. It is a weekend of walking for me, and a lifetime for someone I might not ever meet. 60 Miles is hard, but not as hard as breast cancer.
