When I learned about this 3-day breast cancer challenge walk last spring, I wanted to sign up immediately but I knew that hip replacement surgery in June might interfere. I have recovered well, and now I'm signed up to do the 1-day (20 miles) walk with my seminary friend Lesley Brogan in San Diego to raise money for breast cancer research. Three years ago, I learned that I had an aggressive form of breast cancer and quickly found myself immersed in chemo, surgery, and radiation. Today I am cancer free. I know that may not be forever and I know that others are not so fortunate. Lesley and I walked many miles together when we were in seminary 35 years ago and she has agreed to walk with me on November 16th. Our team goal is $1500. We are grateful for your support as we walk to end breast cancer.
