This year I am proudly walking in the Susan G. Kamen 3-day walk from Nov 14-16 in San Diego. As you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2024. Twenty years ago, the outlook would not have been good, but thankfully due to research, the form of cancer that I have is highly treatable today. 

While I'm so thankful to have a treatment plan that doesn't mean the chemo, surgery, or radiation was easy or fun. And I still don't have an answer for my kids when they ask me why I got cancer nor can I assure them they won't get cancer. So I'm walking to end breast cancer forever and because I believe that research into one form of cancer can help lead to breakthroughs in others.
