Breast cancer is an insidious disease that has invaded the lives of so many. It takes moms from their children, wives from their spouses, daughters from their parents, and dear friends from each other. It leaves holes in hearts, families, and communities.
This year, I'm participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk with two dear friends, Cherry Chan, a survivor, and Bonnie Neulight, honoring the memory of her mother. It's 60 miles over 3 days in San Diego to raise money for lifesaving breast cancer research and support programs.
I'm walking in memory of my incredible mother-in-law, Lu Beury, who I miss every single day and two special friends, Leslie Cary and Eileen McPeake, whose lives were cut far too short by this disease. Their strength and grace continue to inspire me.
I'm also walking in honor of the amazing survivors in my life who have fought with courage and resilience: Cherry Chan, Wendy Wilson, Sandra Beury, Lauren Meltzer, Sandra Milan, Marcella Austenfeld & Barb Martin. You all inspire me.
Every dollar raised helps fund research, early detection, treatment, and patient support for those who need it most.
Please consider donating to help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, we can make a difference.
