When I was six my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, kicking off a 25 year battle she did not sign up to fight. 

As she faced each new diagnosis with the resilience, strength, and vigor of a warrior, she never let her children glimpse the fear and loneliness hiding under the surface.

Until last year, when she signed up for the Susan G. Komen 3-day Walk Against Breast Cancer - proving to herself and everyone around her that she is just as strong as we suspected all along. 

In November, I am joining my fearless mother as we walk 60 miles in 3 days to raise the money and awareness necessary to finally stop women across the world from hearing the words: you have breast cancer.
