Friends and loved ones,
About every 48 seconds, somewhere in the world, someone dies from breast cancer. That's a startling statistic. No one should have to die from this terrible disease. That?s why I?m doing my part and walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-DayŽ- AGAIN.
It's a 60 mile walk over the course of 3 days to support Komen?s work at creating a world without breast cancer. Last year, I had an incredible experience participating in this event. I raised nearly $3,500 and met so many wonderful friends along the way. Not only did I meet new friends, but I had the honor to walk along the path with Survivors and Thrivers- those who have survived and are currently living with breast cancer. I learned that doing this walk is not about the personal challenge of 60 miles, but rather about committing to a community of people who want to see an end to this horrible disease, and who show up year after year to make that a reality in the hopefully not too distant future.
The fundraising deadline for this year's Komen 3 day is OCTOBER 2. I need your help to reach my fundraising goal with an additional minimum $850 in just three short weeks. Will you please make a donation to support my fundraising efforts and this important cause this year? No amount is too small ($10, $20, $50, etc.), and all donations help us take one step closer to a future without breast cancer. To donate, simply follow the link below to visit my personal fundraising page.
Walking 60 miles was hard, but it?s certainly not as hard as breast cancer. Breast cancer has touched so many lives, and almost everyone I know has a personal connection to someone who's life has been impacted in some way by the influence of breast cancer. It's for that reason I am asking my community to step up and support my fundraising goal this year. Thank you in advance so much for your support.
