Each year, as I start thinking about why I walk, it becomes more personal. This past year brought the heartbreaking loss of one of my longtime friends to breast cancer. It also brought a new diagnosis within my own family. Cancer has touched each of us in some way.
Every day, I walk through the doors of the cancer center where I work, and I witness the strength and resilience of the patients we care for. Their courage reminds me why this mission matters so deeply. I know that every step I take in training and during those 60 miles is a step toward hope — hope for better treatments, hope for more tomorrows, and hope for a cure.
This year, I walk for my friend, for my family, for every brave soul fighting, and for those we’ve lost. I walk so no one has to face breast cancer alone.
Will you help me take these steps by donating to my fundraising efforts?
Thank you
Susan
