February 26, 2025 marks the 20 year anniversary of when I lost my aunt to her battle with breast cancer. I have officially been alive longer without her in my life than in it and that is truly such a heartbreaking fact. As most of you know ever since losing her I have poured myself into advocating for cancer research and trying to do my part in the fight to end cancer. I have participated in countless events and raised thousands of dollars and this year is no different. 20 years ago I thought to myself that in 20 years we will have a cure and unfortunately we still do not. I will not stop advocating and fighting for a cure until we have one. I am now in the fight for my own daughters. I pray for a cure for them so it is never something that rips their world apart. I have participated in a few 3 day walks in the past however this is the first time I am going to be doing it in San Diego! I have heard such incredible things about the San Diego event and I thought it would be the perfect year to honor my aunt in a big way. I also have a huge fundraising goal this year so I cannot thank you enough for your support on my journey. Together we will make a difference!
