I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 38 years old?stage one invasive lobular, a type that grows in straight lines and is often missed on mammograms. I was fortunate to have genetic information from my aunt that pushed me to get tested and screened early. Just six months after my first mammogram, an MRI revealed my cancer. If I had waited until 40, it likely wouldn?t have been found until years later, when I might have been stage four with a very different story to tell. That?s why raising money for awareness and breast cancer research means so much to me. Every donation truly helps save lives, and I?m so grateful for your support.
