This November, I’m returning to San Diego for my fifth year walking in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day, 60-Mile Breast Cancer Walk, standing alongside so many others who are committed to ending breast cancer.
I’m not walking by choice. I’m walking because walking is what’s required—to keep a spotlight on the devastating impact this disease continues to have on the lives of people I care for and love. I’m walking to raise awareness, and to raise money for the critical research that’s needed to bring this fight to an end.
My journey is one of survival. But with survival comes a responsibility—to turn my experience into purpose. Since last year’s walk, three more people in my circle have been diagnosed, and one had her wings clipped. This sad reality only deepens my commitment.
So I’m reaching out to my friends and family to ask for your support.
A donation of any amount will help move "US" closer to a future without breast cancer.
The 60 mile walk is long, but so iwas my fight. So, I’m all in—for them, for you, for all of us.
