It's been 12 years since that call came in telling me I had cancer - my kids were 4 and 2 and I was convinced it was my last Christmas with them.  God is so good and put the right people in my path and through extensive surgery I have been cancer free.  While I was going through treatment I got another call that I would have never expected - my sister also was diagnosed.  How is that possible?  Well - together through treatment we are both cancer free and our goal is for nobody to have to get those calls.

It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer.  It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
