In 2016 my good friend, Juli, had just reached her 5 year survival date from her breast cancer diagnosis when she asked me to join her in a celebration of LIFE by walking in the Komen 3-Day walk.  For the last 9 years, I have continued to walk and raise monies.  My original commitment to support my friend Juli touched my heart  because I saw how this event -The Susan G Komen 3-Day- gave people hope.  I keep walking because, as a nurse, I think that hope is justified…  A difference is being made, both locally and world wide, through community education/ screening support, improved treatment and ongoing research- all supported by the monies raised through donors like you and me.
