I hope you will support me as I once again commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It is hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer, or chemo, or getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.

Thank you to those of you who have supported me over the years - 17 years to be specific.  I want you to know that I am incredibly grateful to you. My first walk was in 2009, and I did it for me.  At least I signed up for me - to show cancer that it was NOT in control of my life.  As I walked and talked to the many wonderful people I met, I quickly forgot about me.  Breast Cancer is a Sneak! A Thief! A Killer! I have met young women who must make horrific decisions about their bodies and care.  I met young women battling this disease - who tragically lost their battles. I met families devastated by this disease.  I witnessed incredible bravery and strength.  

I am not a researcher or clinician.  I can however, raise money for research and treatment.  I can and I will continue to walk, with your help, until we can realize our dream - a world without breast cancer!
