Mine is a simple story...and it is about my sister.
Cindy was a beautiful, vibrant, caring, sensitive, and loving person! She loved God, and everyone she came in contact with. Through no fault of her own, she was told she had Hodgkin's Lymphoma in her early 20s. During her treatment, she received many doses of radiation. She was cured of that, but in later years she was told she had colon cancer, then breast cancer, which was believed to be caused by the radiation from the first cancer. But she persevered, and fought long and hard, right up until the very end.
I made a promise to her, that I will continue to walk until a cure is found, and I intend on keeping that promise. With continued support from family and friends, the cure will be found, and no one else has to hear the words "you have breast cancer".
Every dollar donated makes a difference. Won't you help make that difference with me??
Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
