Please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
This walk is personal to me. My sister in law JJ was diagnosed with breast cancer in her early 30's. She and my brother had two young children - Emma and Jack. Like everything else in her life, she was committed to beating this disease. After a valiant effort, I now walk in her memory. Julie and I started this in her honor, and continue to celebrate the amazing person we loved. Our team - 4UJJ - has completed 17 walks and raised $386,000!!! It's become a family tradition that includes (over the years) JJ's brother Patrick, JJ's daughter Emma, nephew Brenner, brother-in-law Jordan, my daughter-in-law Sam, and mother Jan. We are always joined by JJ's parents David and Mary Jo and lately nieces and nephews. The circle continues to grow with family and friends - all committed to A WORLD WITHOUT BREAST CANCER.
Many thanks to all of you that have supported me all these years. This could not happen without your support. I'm thankful for your donation!
