Here I go again!
The past two years were great opportunity to raise money and participate in the 3-day walk in Chicago and Denver. Through the intense heat and mountain trails of Denver, we marched on. Through rainstorms in Chicago, we marched on. Through blister-filled feet, we marched on. Because the goal and meaning behind this event is so much more important than the temporary uncomfortableness. It's about uplifting and supporting the people that have endured cancer. It's about fundraising and hopefully finding a cure for this awful disease.
With all that said, please support me as I commit to an incredible challenge. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days in San Diego. I'm walking in honor of my mom, Joni, who passed away from breast/ovarian cancer in October of 2022. My mom was my hero. She persevered against cancer multiple times throughout multiple decades. This event is a wonderful way to carry on my mom's story and cherish her memory. Life will never be the same without my best friend around, but I know that she is incredibly proud of me! She may not be around, but I feel her presence constantly. Through the 3-day opportunity, I am able to raise money to help put an end to breast cancer. I have friends and family that are survivors, and it is pivotal to honor them as well. I'm doing a small part--one step at a time--to stop breast cancer I would truly appreciate any help to get to my goal.
Thank you so much!
