I walk in loving memory of my Mom, Consuelo, who I lost in April of 2015.  Her spirit, love and energy is the reason that I have chosen to recognize those that fight and stand up, those that are survivors, and those we have lost to MBC.  As I embark on this solo journey, I anticipate the butterflies that will fly around me as I walk.  I love you, Mom!  Thank you for the support of my story as we continue to push and fight for a cure and find health and cancer prevention as our means to living our best lives.

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. It will be hard, but it’s not as hard as breast cancer. It’s not as hard as chemo. It’s not as hard as getting bad news at your latest scan. It’s not as hard as saying goodbye. And that’s why I know I have to do this. That’s why I’m walking and why I’m raising money – to end breast cancer forever.
