Hi everyone! 

3rd times the charm!!! I am so excited to announce that I am back at the 3 Day again this year. Each year keeps getting better and I am looking forward to what Boston holds! I had an amazing time this year and love that I get to be a part of helping research and end breast cancer! Even with it being a new year, my why is still the same. Thank you for taking the time to read this and support me! 

My name is Linda and I was little I’ve always been told that I’m just like my grandma. I’m a bookworm, I love working with kids, and I make the best chocolate chip cookies! This is just a small list of qualities I was told so often growing up “you do that just like your namesake” my grandmothers name was Arlin but everyone called her Linda, so even though that’s not the most common name for a little girl I was lucky enough to get it. 

The reason I got my name comes from her passing away after a tough battle with breast cancer back when my dad was in college. They found her cancer late at a point when it had already spread to her brain. My grandmother passed before my dad finished college and it was then he decided he wanted to name his first daughter after her. 

Although I never got to meet my grandmother I like to think we share a special connection. Aside from being like her in so many ways, I used to tell my dad that someday I would be in heaven having tea with grandma Linda. He always said it came out of nowhere and with so much certainty! 

I’m walking because I want to fight for others who have been, are, and could be, affected by this horrible disease. So that people can have tea with their namesakes before they get to Heaven and maybe even have a cookie bake off!
